Jason Aldean Will Replace Morgan Wallen At ACM Concert

After Morgan Wallen announced that he is taking six weeks off for vocal rest due to doctors’ orders. That included postponing several concerts, and canceling his appearance at the ACM LIfting Lives concert tonight (5/10) in Texas. So, Jason Aldean has stepped in to take Wallen’s spot.

The ACM Lifting Lives Instagram posted the news writing, “Reigning ACM Entertainer of the Decade, 2023 ACM Award Entertainer of the Year nominee, and longtime friend of #ACMLiftingLives @JasonAldean just added to ACM Lifting Lives LIVE tomorrow night @Topgolf The Colony, joining all-star bill of ACM Awards nominees HARDY, Lainey Wilson, ERNEST, and Bailey Zimmerman. Existing ticket holders, we’ll see you tomorrow night. Want to be there? Limited tickets are still available on @axsevents. #Linkinbio #LetsLiftLives.”

In the somber video clip Morgan posted yesterday (5/9), he said in part, “I got some bad news from my doctors at the Vanderbilt Voice Center yesterday (5/8), and after taking ten days of vocal rest, I performed three shows last weekend in Florida, and by the third one, I felt terrible. So I went in and got scoped yesterday, and they told me that I had reinjured my vocal cords and that I have full vocal trauma. Their advice is that I go on vocal rest for six weeks, so that’s what I’m gonna do. They want me not to talk at all, but they said if I need to, it’s okay for something like this.”

He added, “I won’t be able to make these festivals that I have during this time frame, but we are gonna make those right next year. I won’t be able to do the ACM Awards or the Lifting Livbes event, but you all make sure you still go; it’s for a great cause.”

  Written by fellow artists Brantley Gilbert and Colt Ford, when this song came out Aldean's publicist teased about the song, suggesting Aldean listened to "a little Snoop Dogg in his time." However, Jason said he did not consider "Dirt Road Anthem" a rap song, although he later did a remix of the song with Ludacris.
