Scotty McCreery’s Hallmark Movie debuts this weekend.

The movie is based on his hit song, Five More Minutes” and he is an executive producer on the movie!

The premise of Scotty McCreery’s hallmark movie is that a woman finds her grandfather’s journal that reveals a secret romance and the woman’s Christmas wish is answered.

The “American Idol” alum will not be appearing in the movie as an actor due to it being filmed in Canada. With his touring schedule and COVID protocols, they were unable to make a cameo work. If there is a sequel, maybe he could be in that!

So grab the tissues and throw on your Hallmark Christmas movie t-shirt for the premiere. You can see it on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries at 10p ET on Saturday, November 20th.

The song “Five More Minutes” was released in 2017 and it was the first single from Scotty McCreery’s fourth studio album. He wrote the song with Monty Criswell and Frank Rogers. The number one song was inspired by the death of his grandfather and has become a fan favorite. At a Scotty McCreery concert, it is one of the most anticipated songs of the set.
