Hillsborough County Commissioner Kimberly Overman today shared an update on social media if you or a loved one aged 65 or older is ready to get vaccinated. Appointments to get the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine are being made now by two organizations.

3300 doses of the vaccine are ready at 11 Tampa Family Health Center locations around Tampa. To get an appointment at one them, they ask you to email TFHCPCMH@HCNetwork.org. One of their staff will reach out to you and set up a time. You must be at least 65 years of age or a health care professional. You must have that appointment - there is no walk-up service.

2400 doses of the Moderna Vaccine are available at Suncoast Community Health Centers located in Brandon, Ruskin and Plant City. Again, you must be at least 65 years of age or be a healthcare professional. The vaccinations will happen this Saturday, January 16th starting at 8am. They ask you to call 813-653-6100 for more information or you can visit Suncoast-CHC.org.

Over 100 Publix locations around the state are also taking appointments to get the COVID-19 vaccine. However, none are in Hillsborough, Pasco or Pinellas County.
