Original story from February 18:

Last night was a really special night for Elvis fans. But even those who are too young to remember The King could easily see the impact Elvis Presley has on music to this day. I spent most of the 2 hours raving on my Facebook page with friends about the different performances. There were artists I wasn’t even familiar with like Post Malone that impressed me beyond words. To be honest, I’m not a big Ed Sheeran guy, but his version of “Can’t Help Falling In Love With You” was a definite highlight.

I had a feeling going in that Blake Shelton would own the night, but found that Keith Urban and Darius Rucker stole the show. On Twitter, we got a lot of feedback about Adam Lambert’s performance of “Blue Suede Shoes.” Pop singer Alessia Cara’s stripped down version of “Love Me Tender” was incredible. And of course Carrie Underwood‘s vocals never disappoint. Even teen idol Shawn Mendes I thought did justice to “Hound Dog.” The only two performances I thought were just ok were the ones by Jennifer Lopez and Josh Groban. But these are MY takes.
