UPDATE: Sorry all! Just realized this was from a year ago. A few listeners sent me this article but nobody noticed this was a story from January... of 2018. And even though we're all still probably writing 2018 on everything, alas, it's 2019. I don't know if this pop up location is still being used. -Geno

Remember last summer when all the excitement began? Plant City has waited for Chick-fil-A and there seemed to be hope. But it's 2019 and the wait continues.

Apparently the chain wants to offer a temporary solution. The Plant City Observer reports that you'll be able to get your Chick-fil-A fix starting tomorrow (January 8).

One of Lakeland's Chick-fil-A restaurants will prepare the food and it'll be served up at 118 W. Reynolds Street in Plant City during lunchtime from 11am to 2pm weekdays. It'll be a limited menu of chicken sandwiches, nuggets, waffle potato chips and chocolate chunk cookies. They'll have Coke drinks and YES, they will bring the Chick-fil-A dipping sauces.

It looks, however, like there's one big thing missing: the waffle fries. Those are key for me. Sounds like they're using this as a test to see if the demand is really there to open up a full restaurant. -Geno
