Wawa Is Adding More Free Air Pumps
Since coming to Tampa Bay a couple years ago, it’s a sight you see often at Wawa: a line at the air pumps. Why? They’re free. While most gas stations make you find quarters under your seat, Wawa stores are known to just let you use theirs for free. And when it’s free, it’s popular.
To get rid of the disgruntled impatient people like me who hate waiting, they’re adding more free air stations, according to TampaBay.com. For now they say one additional pump will be put in at each location. They say the machines cost between about $3,000 on average. But usually people who use the free air machines will buy gas or something in the store.
