ORLANDO, FL - JUNE 18: In this handout photo provided by Universal Orlando Resort and taken June 13, 2014, today June 18, Universal Orlando announced that The Wizarding World of Harry Potters Diagon Alley will officially open on July 8, allowing guests to experience even more of Harry Potters adventures in an all-new, magnificently-themed environment. Located in the Universal Studios Florida theme park, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Diagon Alley will feature shops, dining experiences and the next generation thrill ride, Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts. The new immersive area will double the size of the sweeping land already found at Universals Islands of Adventure, expanding the spectacularly themed environment across both Universal theme parks and guests can journey between both lands aboard the Hogwarts Express. The 2018 rankings for Trip Advisor Travelers’ Choice awards for Amusement Parks and Water Parks are out this morning and no surprise, Florida dominates the list. The only two parks mentioned that are not in Florida are in Indiana and Universal Studios in Hollywood.

Absent, however, is our local Tampa Bay favorite Busch Gardens and its water park Adventure Island. In fact, neither park came in the Top 10 on the lists. I would personally rank Disney’s Hollywood Studios over Animal Kingdom. But that’s me. Do you agree with the order of these 2 lists? Leave your thoughts on Twitter @WQYKGeno and I’ll include your tweet below.

Top 5 Water Parks
1. Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park – Orlando, Florida
2. Aquatica Orlando – Orlando, Florida
3. Shipwreck Island Waterpark – Panama City Beach, Florida
4. Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park – Orlando, Florida
5. Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari – Santa Claus, Indiana

Top 5 Amusement Parks
1. Universal’s Islands of Adventure – Orlando, Florida
2. Disney’s Magic Kingdom – Orlando, Florida
3. Universal Studios Hollywood – Los Angeles, California
4. Universal Studios Florida – Orlando, Florida
5. Disney’s Animal Kingdom – Orlando, Florida

They also ranked the top 10 amusement parks worldwide:

Universal’s Islands of Adventure – Orlando, Florida
Magic Kingdom – Orlando, Florida
Le Puy du Fou – Les Epesses, France
Universal Studios Hollywood – Los Angeles, California
Universal Studios Florida – Orlando, Florida
Disney’s Animal Kingdom – Orlando, Florida
Europa-Park – Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany
Tivoli Gardens – Copenhagen, Denmark
The Island in Pigeon Forge – Pigeon Forge, Tennessee
Disneyland Park – Marne-la-Vallee, France

Most of these rankings I'm on board with, but how do you leave out the park with Rockin' Rollercoaster and Tower of Terror?
