Justin Moore Is An Accomplished Turkey Fryer
Everyone’s good at something. And lucky for Thanksgiving attendees at Justin Moore‘s house, he’s pretty good at frying turkeys.
It’s a holiday skill Justin honed during his early days in Nashville. “Years ago when I moved to Nashville a couple of friends of ours had a really cool tradition of all the guys [getting] together the day before Thanksgiving [to] drink beer and fry turkeys for their family,” the “You Look Like I Need A Drink” singer says through his record label. “So we’d have five or six big pots out and we’d all bring our turkey and drink beer and fry our turkey.”

Justin has put those turkey-cooking skills to work in recent years for his family, and so far so good. “I’ve fried a couple of turkeys,” he says of recent efforts. “So that’s kind of our tradition now and that’s my contribution. I don’t make dressing because my mom and some of the other folks in our family do it better than I do. My mom and dad usually make that. My father-in-law makes the best sweet potato casserole I’ve ever eaten, so I’ll leave that to him. But I do fry the turkeys.”
