Listen To Darius Rucker’s New Single “Don’t”
Darius Rucker‘s latest No. 1 topped the country charts back in June, but he only recently got around to celebrating it properly. And he’s got a brand new single waiting in the wings.
The Charleston, SC native toasted “If I Told You” songwriters Ross Copperman, Shane McAnally and Jon Nite at No. 1 party at a new Nashville-area gold complex recently. “I came into the studio, and when we played it back I instantly thought this is exactly what I want to sound like,” he recalled of hearing himself on the song for the first time, according to his publicist. “I was immediately so happy we chose this song.”
“Don’t”
Darius’ follow-up single is “Don’t.” Both songs will be found on his fifth studio album When Was The Last Time, which is set for release October 20th. “This is country music and that is what I set out to do,” he recently told Rolling Stone Country of the project. “I set out to make country records; I don’t want to make pop records.”
