Country Fans Get To Know Carly Pearce
Country fans are getting to know Carly Pearce as her hit song “Every Little Thing” climbs the charts, and some of what they’re learning is pretty neat.
For starters, Billboard reports that Carly has some pretty deep Bluegrass roots. This isn’t that surprising given that she grew up in Kentucky, of course. “I got asked to join a bluegrass group at [age] 11,” she tells the publication. “Bluegrass musicians are unbelievable, so that’s how I learned to sing harmony. I played an all-boys prison, every tent revival you could think of, churches, bars – they would sneak me in.”

And Carly’s single “Every Little Thing” almost wasn’t released. “I really didn’t think it would be the song that helped to break me in the industry – especially not in the summer,” she continues. “I had plenty of people pass on ‘Every Little Thing.'” Carly eventually signed with Big Machine Records, however, and the rest is country music history. The song currently resides inside the country Top 10.
