Miranda Lambert Helps 60 Shelter Dogs Find Forever Homes
If dogs are man’s best friend, then Miranda Lambert is a dog’s best friend.
The reigning ACM Female Vocalist of the Year helped kick off the 2017 CMA Music Festival in Nashville last week with her first-ever MuttNation March. The superstar was joined by more than 1,000 animal lovers including Nashville Mayor Megan Barry (pictured above with Miranda and mom Beverly) and more than 120 dogs in a parade from Nissan Stadium into downtown Nashville. The point was to raise awareness of the plight of shelter animals and to encourage the adoption of some of the event’s furriest participants. The march ended with The MuttNation Foundation Adoption Drive, where 60 dogs found forever homes, according to Miranda’s publicist.
So thankful that so many people supported dogs at the #MuttNationMarch! Some have asked how to help. Find out here: https://t.co/j0PwrX4RRG pic.twitter.com/HPxlVwwf08

“I am so grateful that all these amazing dogs found their forever homes,” Miranda says in a statement. “Marching with so many amazing fans and fellow animal lovers was really a highlight of CMA Fest for me.”
And don’t be bummed if you weren’t able to be there. Through June 19, fans and dog lovers the world over can still help by visiting MuttNation.com and donating to the cause via the MuttNation Shelter Day Sweepstakes. You could even win a chance to work with Miranda as she makes over an animal shelter. Check it out here.
