Tampa Bay’s Hometown Morning Krewe

If you are wanting to celebrate the 4th of July right here in Tampa Bay then there are a few places to watch fireworks. Because the 4th of July falls on a Tuesday this year some of the events are not actually happening on the 4th. There are many cities in the Tampa Bay area having a fireworks events this year. We found one in each of the five counties: Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Polk and Manatee.

Buying fireworks and setting them off with your friends is always fun, but going to watch them is just as fun. You also won’t have to spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars. Remember, the next day is Wednesday and you most likely will still have to go to work. Most of the events have fun things to do all day and then the event ends with the sun going down and fireworks lighting up the sky.

Independence Day commemorates the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. The tradition of setting off fireworks to celebrate Independence Day started in 1777. It began in Philadelphia on the one year anniversary.
