It’s hard to believe that summer in the Sunshine State is almost over. The kids will be going back to school in a few weeks. Starting this Monday, July 25th and going on till Sunday, August 7th, you can save some money on school-related purchases for your children.
Florida’s Back-To-School sales tax holiday covers items like clothing, shoes, supplies, learning aids, and personal computers. In addition to the sales tax savings, stores will be marking down prices as well. “A lot of our retailers are going to be offering sales alongside the sales-tax holiday and really try to motivate people to get out and shop,” said Scott Shalley, president of the Florida Retail Federation. “We are at a time of high inflation, and you have got to spread the dollar as far as you can.”
