On July 29th a person in Illinois won the Mega Millions $1.34 billion lottery, but has yet to claim the win. They have fewer than 10 days to decide whether they would like to be paid annually or all at once. If the person who won does not make a decision the winner will automatically be paid annually.

If winner is paid annually it would be over over 29 years. If they want the one-time cash payout, that would be about $780.5 million.
