You know #1. But can you guess #2? Florida Today tracks the retailers where winning Florida Lottery tickets are purchased. Every month they publish the data and it’s probably going to be of no surprise to you that the most winning Florida Lottery tickets were purchased at Publix.
It’s where shopping is a pleasure… and so is winning. Publix sells so many winning Florida Lottery tickets that the retailer that comes in at #2 has sold about as many winning tickets in 2024 as Publix does in a typical month.
Who sells the second most winning Florida Lottery tickets?
Stumped? They say seven is a lucky number. And it apparently is for those who buy their winning Florida Lottery tickets at 7 Eleven. They’ve had about 30 big winners so far in 2024. That’s compared with over 150 big winning tickets sold at various Publix locations in Florida this year.
But it’s Publix that has run away with the number of big winning Florida Lottery tickets so far… by far. Publix had 37 big winners in February 2024 alone. That’s more than 7 Eleven has had all year… and they came in at #2.
Other retailers in the top 10 for selling winning Florida Lottery tickets include Circle K, Winn Dixie, Race Track and Walmart.

The data collected is of winners playing the big money games like Powerball, Mega Millions, Jackpot Triple Play, Cash4Life, and Fantasy 5. Florida Today also breaks down which Florida cities were where the winners bought their tickets. For example in July, Tampa had 3 big winners. But Miami had 8. Even Naples beat us in July. They had 4. Orlando, Panama City Beach, Port St. Lucie, St. Petersburg, Tallahassee and West Palm Beach had 2.
