First Look At Ezra Miller As ‘The Flash’ In Super Bowl Trailer
The highly-anticipated The Flash, starring Ezra Miller, has finally dropped its first trailer. It debuted on Super Bowl Sunday.
Warner Bros. first featured Ezra’s the Flash in a cameo role back in 2016 for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. He then co-starred in the 2017 film Justice League. Miller suits up as the Scarlet Speedster once again, but this time, times two. In the new trailer, Miller’s Barry Allen crashes into the multiverse and runs into another version of himself. He’s not the only one seeing double, as we see two Batmen — played by Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton. There’s also a return of Michael Shannon’s General Zod from Man of Steel and the debut of Sasha Calle’s Supergirl. Also in the cast is Kiersey Clemons as Iris West. Saoirse-Monica Jackson, Antje Traue and Maribel Verdú are also in the film.
As we’ve previously reported, there have been a string of controversies surrounding Miller, 30. The We Need To Talk About Kevin star began . In March 2022, Miller was arrested twice in Hawaii within one month: first for disorderly conduct and harassment and then for second-degree assault. They pled no contest to the assault charge and the harassment charge was later dismissed. Fast forward to January, Miller took a plea deal in a Vermont burglary case, pleading guilty to a charge of unlawful trespassing and having two other criminal counts against them dropped. Miller has also been accused of choking one woman in an Icelandic bar, harassing another woman in her home in Berlin and for being a cult leader.
The Flash is expected to play a major role in the evolution of DC’s onscreen stories, serving as a reboot ahead of James Gunn and Peter Safran’s new plan for the DC Universe. Last month, Gunn said The Flash “resets the entire DC universe” and Blue Beetle prior to the Aquaman sequel.
