It was announced that a few thousand will fans will be allowed inside Amalie Arena when the Toronto Raptors play here in Tampa. The arena today announced the safety procedures and changes put in place to keep fans safe. Here’s a kind of exciting side note… the announcement was also sent on behalf of the Tampa Bay Lightning. So hopefully that means fans might be able to see our Stanley Cup champs in person when (or if) the season starts up.

ShareThe arena has an upgraded, hospital-grade HVAC system. Bi-polar ionization in each of it’s 22 air handlers will limit the spread of air-borne pathogens.
Zip Tied Seats
ShareTo keep fans separated, seats that won't be used are going to be zip tied closed.
Bags
ShareLeave them in the car. They won't be allowed in. Also, I emailed my contact after many asked... this restriction includes purses. Sorry! Don't shoot the messenger!
Disenfecting Lights
ShareUltraviolet lights will be over the handrails on the arena's escalators.
Plexiglass Barriers
ShareWe see them at the casino and Publix. Now you'll see them at concession stands.
Face Masks
ShareAs you would expect, face masks are required. You can remove it to eat or drink.
Cash
ShareNeed a snack? Leave the George Washingtons at home. Payments will be cashless like Tropicana Field.
Parking
ShareNo cash payments here either.
Social Distancing
ShareFans will be kept apart at concession stands, elevators, restrooms and even when they enter. You won't see those crowded lines like before.
