Miranda Lambert Reveals What Would Have Been A Dealbreaker In Her Marriage

Miranda Lambert and her husband Brendan McLoughlin are nearing their one year wedding anniversary on January 26th.

Before the couple were married, Miranda had one deal-breaker. She told Taste of Country, “When I first met him, I realized I looked a little bit like a crazy dog lady, which is fine with me, because that’s what I am.”

Miranda continued, “I was like, ‘Hey, if you don’t like dogs, that’s kind of a deal-breaker.” And he passed the test, she offered, “He actually loves them to death.”

Lambert of course is known for being an advocate for and friend to any dog that needs help. Her MuttNation Foundation finds homes for animals in need. Every year during CMA Fest in Nashville, she hosts a downtown dog walk that raises awareness and funds for the non-profit. marriage

Nancy Brooks has been working in the country music industry for almost 30 years. She has interviewed pretty much any country star you can think of. In the late 1990s, she started working with Dolly Parton. And yes, Nancy reports that Parton is as sweet as you would think. She loves her life in country music and has been backstage at every CMA Awards show since the late 1990s. Many of her stories are from her one-on-one interviews. She was there at the beginning of the incredible careers of many music superstars today, including Taylor Swift, Shania Twain, and Blake Shelton, and has interviewed them multiple times throughout the years.
