With "A Bar Song (Tipsy)," rising star Shaboozey broke the Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart record. His hit song held the number one spot for 35 straight weeks, beating Sam Hunt's "Body Like a Back Road" from its 34-week record.

The song reached 63.3 million listeners during January 24-30. This success mirrors the impressive 19-week Billboard Hot 100 run of "Old Town Road" by Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus.

"There were many, many doubters of our ability to work this record at radio," said EMPIRE COO Nima Etminan to Billboard. "The industry loves telling independents that there's a ceiling to what they can do on their own, and this was no different. We were told it can't be done, and, as we like to do, we proved them wrong."

Despite smashing records everywhere, the Virginia singer's song hasn't yet topped Florida Georgia Line and Bebe Rexha's "Meant to Be," which spent 50 weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart.

Coming off his 2024 album Where I've Been, Isn't Where I'm Going, Shaboozey keeps busy in the studio. He's working on new music with Morgan Wallen and Sierra Ferrell, pushing genre boundaries with each new project.

Between filming a Nerds Gummy Clusters Super Bowl commercial and making music with Nigerian star Burna Boy, Shaboozey continues to explore new territory. Their upcoming song looks to blend rap and Afrobeat styles in a fresh way
