Wow! What an upgrade. It wasn’t long after Rascal Flatts left the stage to close out this year’s Florida Strawberry Festival when demolition crews starting taking down those old bleachers in Plant City. I’ve been really excited to see what they’re doing with the seats and last night they tweeted out the first photo of the new design. Now THIS is an upgrade! I was already excited about the 2018 Florida Strawberry Festival concert lineup. (And getting my hands on funnel bacon on a stick.) But this photo is really getting me excited.
Here's a photo of the new @gtgrandstands for the @WishFarms Soundstage. Floor seats and ADA accessible seats are still part of the new venue. #berryfest18 pic.twitter.com/yRe90treiu— Fla Strawberry Fest (@FLStrawberryFst) November 20, 2017
Some pictures of the demolition and construction from earlier this year…
While all of Plant City was sleeping, we were getting ready for a new concert venue! Concrete trucks arrived at 2 a.m. this morning to begin pouring the slab for a portion of our construction project. Piece by piece, it's coming together. We can't wait for you to see the finished product. #berryfest18
Many loyal patrons and Plant City natives have asked about acquiring a small piece of William Schneider Memorial Stadium to have as a keepsake. We are pleased to announce that we have saved a small selection of golf ball size pieces of the stadium that we are offering on a first-come, first-served basis at no charge. The concrete pieces can be picked up at the Festival office and would make a terrific desktop or bookshelf memento for those who have wonderful memories in the stadium.

Now, if they can only get the people who make that amazing strawberry smothered glazed donut to walk the stands....— Robb Allen (@ItsRobbAllen) November 21, 2017
