The 2023 99.5 QYK Guitar Pull is just a few days away and better than ever. If you’ve wanted to see George Birge at Guitar Pull, this is your chance! 99.5 QYK’s Guitar Pull will be back at the Mahaffey Theater located in St. Petersburg this weekend.
The 99.5 QYK Guitar Pull is not your traditional solo artist performance. This show will feature all of the artists on the same stage, at the same time swapping their stories and songs with nothing but their acoustic guitars. With this event, fans will be on the edge of their seat. There is no setlist and fans get to watch all the artists interact in real time. This is a fan favorite event in Tampa Bay for the best show of the year.
George Birge and his Success in Country Music
After being inspired by a TikTok making fun of cliché country music, George Birge sat down to write the song that would launch his career. Birge grabbed his guitar and penned the song “Beer Beer, Truck Truck,” an up-tempo melody that inspires more than just the cliché taglines it suggests and landed him a recording deal with RECORDS Nashville.
Birge sat down to write the lead single off his debut Album, “Mind on You” with his old friend Colt Ford, Jaron Boyer and Michael Tyler. Originally set to be recorded by Jason Aldean, Birge couldn’t let it go. “It has a dark, sexy mysterious vibe to it. And instrumentally, there are so many different sounds, from acoustic guitars and mandolin to bouzouki. It’s a sonic experience,” says Birge.
Birge is well on his way to having a breakout year as this is just the beginning of his success.
