For phone nerds like me, the big day is coming up. Apple will reveal its new line of iPhones Tuesday at 1pm our time. Tech gurus expect Apple to announce a new series of iPhones, a new Apple watch and more.

Everything from improved speed and battery life to new colors and cameras… here are the 7 big leaks that they think will be the most significant changes for the new iPhone 15 line.

  • The Camera

The camera will have a 48 megapixel sensor – up from 12 megapixels on the iPhone 14, according to Mac Rumors. That means higher resolution photos with more detail. But that also usually means bigger file sizes so you might want to spend more on storage. The Pro Max will have a new periscope lens improving zoom capabilities.

  • Battery

Forbes reports the new batteries will allow the chip to work faster and battery life could jump by as much as 20%.

  • Colors

Apple Insider says the 15 and 15 Plus will come in 5 colors – white, black, blue, yellow and pink/red. They’re described as “pastel” like. The Pro models will include silver, black, gray and blue.

  • Design

Stuff TV thinks we’ll see more curved edges which will provide “a softer feel.” They think bezels (the frame) will be slimmer too.

  • Price

Everything around the world tends to cost more these days. It’s not just in the U.S. So when you consider how many companies and suppliers around the globe help build a typical iPhone, it should come as no surprise that the new iPhones will likely cost more. Tech Radar reports the 128 GB iPhone 15 will be $799, 256GB $899 and 512GB for $1,099. And of course, you’ll pay more for the higher end models with bigger screens.

  • Charging

The biggest change many will notice with the new iPhones is that those Lightning ports are gone. They’ll be replaced by USB-C ports, according to Bloomberg. The bad news is that means all those Lightning cables you’ve bought over the years will be useless. The good is that you can expect faster data transfers.

  • When you can get one

Macworld thinks that preorders will begin September 15 with phone deliveries beginning a week later on September 22. Their time estimates are based on iPhone releases over the years.
