Usually I’m thinking, “that kid must be a hand full!”  A recent poll suggests that this is a common practice among American parents, with 48% of respondents saying it’s socially acceptable. This is compared to 34% who disagree and 17% who have no opinion or are unsure.

This new poll also explored a range of other baby-related topics below, providing a glimpse into the diverse opinions and preferences of American parents.  Leashing toddler is just the beginning.     The majority of respondents (54%) had no preference between a boy or a girl, while 19% preferred a boy and 15% preferred a girl.

    When it comes to decorating a baby’s room, pink, purple, and white were the top choices for baby girls, while blue, white, and green were the most popular options for baby boys.

  • 3. Hospital Or Home

    When it came to the birthplace of their baby, 20% of women preferred home births or had no preference, while the majority (88%) chose a hospital.

  • 4. Disposable Or Cloth

    A surprising number of parents (37%) would consider using cloth diapers, with 14% opting for solely cloth and 23% using both cloth and disposable diapers.

  • 5. Baby On Social Media

    While 39% of respondents did not support posting photos and videos of their baby on social media, 31% had no objections to entertaining their baby with a smartphone.

  • 6. Baby Piercing

    Piercing a baby’s ears also sparked a divided response, with 36% of respondents in favor of the practice, including 44% of women and 26% of men.

  • 7. Baby Using Smart Phone

    Is it okay mom and dad to entertain a baby with your smartphone? Seems to be no problem for most, 52% said no. 16% aren’t sure. And 31% (we call enlightened) said sure, whatever you need to do.

  • 8. Still A Baby Or Not So Much

    When it comes to defining when a child is no longer a “baby,” most respondents agreed it’s between the ages of one and three years old, with 18 months to two years being the most popular answer.
