The 11th Annual Pig Jig happened this past weekend at Julian B. Lane right on the Riverwalk in Tampa. Even though this is an event that is packed full of friends listening to great music and eating great BBQ, it’s more than that. The Tampa Pig Jig is a philanthropic event that raises money for NephCure Kidney International, the only nonprofit organization committed to supporting research, improving treatment, and finding a cure for the debilitating kidney disease, Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) and Nephrotic Syndrome.
A couple of guys from Tampa started this in their garage and it’s grown into a huge city event. This year Sam Hunt and Kip Moore were the headliners.
So many great moments from the night, but here are my top 5
#4. Hanging out with Kip Moore
We had a chance to say hi to Kip after he got off the stage. He was so happy to finally do a show here since it has been such a long time. He looked great and sounded even better on stage!

#3. I Almost Adopted A Dog
I got to meet a puppy that needed a home and I almost took him home with me. His name is Piglet. People can bid in the silent auction at Pig Jig and one of the things they had was this Puppy. A Siberian-husky mix from the Humane Society of Tampa. He was so cute and I really wanted him. I’m sure he found a home…. I mean c’mon.
#2. I Finally Got To Meet J.R.'s Girlfriend
J.R. has been dating this girl for months and I have only heard about her. I’ve seen her on Facetime, but never got to hang out with her until Saturday. She was amazing! Just loved her and J.R. together. They make a cute couple and she really seems to like J.R.
