Indian Shores Beach Yoga Namaste. Today is International Yoga Day: Bring your yoga mat to the beach. Sunrise or sunset you can add in some fresh air, maybe a few waves sliding up the beach, and the breathing is easy. And you might see our baby dolphins out there. They’ve been feeding every morning last 2 weeks on the sandbar. Bring your own mat or big beach towels work.

Trust me it’s good for your mind, body, and spirit. When Dana breaks out the Steel tongue drum you’ll move from meditating to mind healing. Pretty cool stuff. Here’s her FB for info: Indian Shores Beach Yoga.  Next week I’ll include pics here of my Downward Dog,  or one I call The Sea Shell. LOL. See ya Saturday.

Some Basic Yoga Poses Below so you can warm up. Namaste ; )

  • 1. Malasana

The squat pose I do before every paddle. But, she has bigger muscles.

  • 2. Core

Pretty much a push up or plank pose. Remember to breathe ; )

  • 3. Tripod Headstand

Keep it simple, you don’t have to extend your legs. You can cross or bend your legs or both to make balancing easier.

    Head Stand

  • 4. High Lunge

It’s a basic and simple lunge or crescent pose. If you have trouble balancing, look down, not up.

  • 5. Upward Facing Dog

Straight arms. Head and neck facing up and streeeeeeeetch. Remember to breathe.
