Head coach Nick Saban (right) of the Alabama Crimson Tide shakes hands with head coach Alex Golesh (left) of the South Florida Bulls after the Tide defeated the Bulls 17-3 at Raymond James Stadium on September 16, 2023 in Tampa.

The final score doesn’t show how close the game was, but fans who were at Raymond James Stadium Saturday know. USF almost knocked off #10 ranked Alabama. The Bulls hung with Bama until the last quarter when things started to fall apart. But the effort was definitely something to be proud of.

USF announcer Jim Louk tweeted after the game about how impressed he was with the USF fans in attendance, who waited through a lengthy weather delay, saying “USF students were remarkable. Loud, engaged, stayed through the bad weather, and really showed up in force.” He added that this game was a good sign for the progress the team continues to make.

The game was tied at the half. But your final was a 17-3 win for the Crimson Tide.
