QYK had an amazing time tailgating this weekend with all our amazing listeners! Kenny’s loyal No Shoes Nation brought the party to Raymond James Stadium and we all had a blast! Thanks to everyone that came out for such an amazing show!

Kenny Chesney has waited three long years to be able to perform in from of a stadium-sized crowd. That night finally came when he opened his “Here And Now Tour” in Tampa, Florida at Raymond James Stadium. The fans were just as excited after some had waited 930 days to see Kenny in concert.

When the tour was rescheduled Chesney said in a press release, “I still can’t really believe it. But in the middle of all of this, I know it’s true… and I know how much I miss being out there, being in the thick of the most passionate place in the world: No Shoes Nation. Anywhere they plant their flags, bring their passion, their friends, and their will to rock, it reminds me that to be in the moment is everything No Shoes Nation is about!”

During the 27-song show, Kenny Chesney stopped down many times to listen to the sold-out Raymond James Stadium 60,000-person crowd sing back to him the words to several of his hit songs. He told Tampa Bay’s Morning Krewe in a backstage interview before opening night that during rehearsals at Raymond James Stadium, “I looked around at the band they looked at me and went ‘wow this feels, is pretty emotional,’ you know it really is because there was a moment where we didn’t know if we were ever going to be able to play here again.”
