Tampa Bay’s Hometown Morning Krewe

Blake Shelton brought us back to the Back To The Honky Tonk Friday night at Amalie Arena.

Carly Pearce and Jackson Dean opened the show.

The first thing we noticed was the lucky fans who got to sit right next to the stage at their very own bar!  They were tossing back drinks and right next to Blake!  One of those lucky people was our VIP winner Kayla and her husband.

Blake kicked off the night with “Come Back as a Country Boy,” and we loved watching the video screens behind him flashing with neon signs that read, “Beer,” “Whiskey” and “Honky-Tonk.”     In case you missed it, the sign flashed “Welcome to Tampa‘s biggest honky-tonk.”

Shelton sang all of our favorites from start to finish.

He did bring out Carly Pearce for a very real and powerful duet for “Lonely Tonight.”

Carly just won her first Grammy two weeks ago and did an amazing job opening the show.  Highlights included her Loretta Lynn tribute “Dear Miss Loretta” and her current single “I Hope You’re Happy Now.”

Another song that Blake sang was his 2003 hit “Playboys of the Southwestern World”.

An amazing show from all three artists.  Here are some of the pictures from the show courtesy of Lisa Bower photography for 99.5 QYK
