As the ACM Awards approaches on May 11, the excitement is building. There is a lot of talk about Miranda Lambert being the most awarded ACM artist in history, having won a whopping 37 ACM Awards through the years. She could actually up the ante with a few more wins this year.

Miranda isn’t the only country music artist with shelves full of ACM Awards. We take a look at the top 11 artists with the most ACM award wins through the years.

• Dolly Parton – 13 Total Wins

  Dolly's first trip to the winner's podium for the ACM came in 1971 when she won, along with Porter Wagoner, for Yop Vocal Group. The next time she won an ACM was for Entertainer of the Year in 1977.

• Alabama – 15 Total Wins

  In 1981, Alabama won both Group and Entertainer of the Year.

• Carrie Underwood – 16 Total Wins

  In 2006, Carrie won her first two ACM Awards, Single of the Year for "Jesus, Take The Wheel" and Top New Female Vocalist.
• Faith Hill – 16 Total Wins

  Faith won her first ACM Award for Top New Female Vocalist in 1993.

• Tim McGraw – 18 – Total Wins

  In 1994, McGraw won Top New Male Vocalist and Album of the Year for "Not A Moment Too Soon."

  Reba was named Top Female Vocalist in 1984, 1985, 1986 and 1987. She won her first Entertainer of the Year award from the ACMs in 1994.

• Garth Brooks – 22 Total Wins

  In 1990, Garth won his first ACM Awards, including Entertainer, Male, Song, Single, and Album of the Year for "No Fences."

• George Strait – 24 Total Wins
