Popular St. Pete Steakhouse Closing It’s Doors After 29 Years
It has become very depressing watching all of these restaurants close in Florida. I don’t know what’s going on but it seems as if we are headed towards a recession. “Popular Florida steakhouse closing it’s doors after 29 years.” Sadly these are headlines that we keep seeing. This beloved steakhouse was actually near my house in St. Petersburg and I for sure will go check it out before it closes down on September 29th. So why is Harold Seltzers Steakhouse closing? Is it due to the economy or another reason?
Harold Seltzers Steakhouse Will Close It’s Doors On September 29th
Harold Seltzer Steakhouse will be closing permanently on September 29th after 29 years of business. The owner actually posted the announcement to the steakhouse’s Facebook page saying: ” Im sad because it has been a labor of love since 1995 when I opened up our first Sam Seltzer in Tampa. I will truly miss our wonderful and dedicated employees, several of whom have been with me for many years. I will also miss truly serving you, our wonderful and loyal customers.”
The steakhouse which is located at 3500 Tyrone Blvd N, St. Petersburg was loved by many in the Tampa Bay area. Now until the day of closing, customers can enter a drawing for a chance to win a grand prize of one of the restaurants iconic cows. Other artwork from the steakhouse will be raffled off as well. The property will be transformed into a Dignity Memorial-branded celebration of life center.”
Why are they closing? The owner no longer has to put in more than 60 hours of work. He wants to spend time with his wife, children and grandchildren. I for sure understand that. It’s time that he enjoys the fruits of his labor. Have you ever been to Harold’s before? How was it? email me Babs@wild941.com.
