Scotty McCreery and his Success in Country Music
Scotty McCreery is no stranger to success. After becoming the season 10 American Idol winner, McCreery set his eyes on stardom. Since his breakout year in 2011, McCreery had his first four albums reach No.1, five consecutive No.1 singles, and multiple platinum-certified singles. He was also the first country artist and the youngest male artist of any genre to debut his first studio album, Platinum-certified Clear as Day, at No.1 on the all-genre Billboard Top 200 Albums chart.
McCreery has won BMI awards for writing one of the top 50 country songs of the year, three separate times with “See You Tonight” (2015), “Five More Minutes” (2018), and “This is It” (2018). McCreery has found himself winning many more awards, but after dominating the country music scene, he released his first book, Go Big or Go Home: The Journey Toward The Dream, in 2016.
McCreery was one of the six inductees in the 2023 class inducted into the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame this past October and is one of the most anticipated artists of this year’s 99.5 QYK’s Guitar Pull.
