Rob Gronkowski and a South Tampa Restaurant Team Up for a Good Cause
Rob Gronkowski and a south Tampa restaurant team up for a good cause this weekend!
The three-time Super Bowl champ, Rob Gronkowski, is teaming up with south Tampa restaurant Datz to compete in Guy’s Restaurant Reboot. Yes, Guy and in Guy Fieri. They will be going head to head with four other restaurants and celebs throughout the country. One of those other celebs is Kane Brown! He is teaming up with a restaurant called Party Fowl in Nashville, Tennessee.
According to the Guy’s Restaurant Reboot website:
“Within the show you will see these celebs create mouthwatering “Off The Hook” menu items for their favorite local eateries, celebrating bold flavors and showcasing how each meal goes #BetterwithPepsi. After the show, fans at home will have the chance to try these celeb namesake dishes which will be available at each restaurant and exclusively via Grubhub delivery from June 12-27.”
During the livestream event, Guy will be distributing over $300,000 in grants, hosting a roundtable with other famous chefs to discuss the future of the industry and hopefully inspire the next generation of chefs. There will also be music performances, including a performance from one of Guy’s favorite, Old Dominion.
Richard Hudson, Datz corporate chef, appeared on Morning Blend and explained Rob Gronkowski’s “Off The Hook” menu item that will be competing for the top honor. It’s called the Gronkolo Chicken and Waffles. It’s based on the flavors of where he grew up in Buffalo – buffalo chicken on top of a waffle infused with celery seed. It sounds delicious!
The livestream event happens Saturday, June 12th at 7p on most streaming platforms including YouTube and Facebook. Get all the details HERE on how to see our hometown Datz and Gronk compete!
Wonder if Tom Brady was the taste tester for Rob’s creation.
