Rascal Flatts Pays Tribute To Kenny Rogers With Cover

Rascal Flatts is paying tribute to one of their idols, releasing an emotional rendition of Kenny Rogers’ “Through The Years” to all streaming platforms today (5/1).

Gary LeVox says, “‘Through The Years’ is a perfect love song, and it only felt right that this was the song we chose to pay tribute to Kenny. We’re honored to be able to keep shining Kenny’s light on the world in this small way. Music is healing and I think it’s important for us to keep embracing the power of music right now. Kenny would have wanted it that way.”

The guys posted to Instagram, “It was an absolute honor to record #ThroughTheYears. Listen to our tribute to the great @_kennyrogers now!”

The trio gave a heartfelt performance of the track for the first time as part of “CMT GIANTS Kenny Rogers: A Benefit For MusiCares,” just a few weeks back.

Nancy Brooks has been working in the country music industry for almost 30 years. She has interviewed pretty much any country star you can think of. In the late 1990s, she started working with Dolly Parton. And yes, Nancy reports that Parton is as sweet as you would think. She loves her life in country music and has been backstage at every CMA Awards show since the late 1990s. Many of her stories are from her one-on-one interviews. She was there at the beginning of the incredible careers of many music superstars today, including Taylor Swift, Shania Twain, and Blake Shelton, and has interviewed them multiple times throughout the years.
