Keith Urban Is ‘Psyched’ For New Year’s Eve
Keith Urban will headline and co-host New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash live from Nashville’s Bicentennial Mall. He’ll ring in the New Year with previously announced performers Jelly Roll and Kane Brown, as well as his co-host, Entertainment Tonight’s Rachel Smith.
The five-hour, star-studded special will air across multiple time zones (8:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT,10:30 PM-1:30 AM, ET/PT) on December 31st on CBS and streaming on Paramount+, with the traditional countdown at midnight, ET, culminating with the renowned Nashville Music Note Drop and fireworks at midnight CT.
Keith told us he’s excited for the event and said, “Oh man! I’m so psyched to get to come back and play New Year’s Eve in Nashville, my hometown now. It’s been a lot of years since we’ve got to ring in the new year there, but we’ve done it a bunch of times, and I am stoked to be able to come and bring in the beginning of 2025. I think the crowd’s gonna be off the hook, we’re gonna have an amazing line-up.”
He added, “This city knows how to turn it on, and in the last handful of years, Nashville’s become THE go-to city anywhere. So, I think this is going to be an amazing New Year’s Eve. If you’re thinking about coming out, don’t even think about it. Get that plane ticket, jump in the car, grab that RV (laughs), and however you get there, get to Nashville, Tennessee, to bring in the best New Year’s Eve.”

Urban has been all over the world: he was born in New Zealand and was raised in Australia. He came to America in the 1990s to become a country star and, as we know, he made his dreams come true.
While he’s lived in the Nashville area since 2001, he and his wife, Nicole Kidman, frequently travel to countries all over the world just on vacation or sometimes when she or he has business.
In a recent podcast with actor Rob Lowe, Keith shared a place that he has never been. It’s on his bucket list, and it’s something he’d like to do soon.
Urban told the Brat Pack actor, “I’d like to see the pyramids. I’ve been to the Wadi Rum [in Jordan], we’ve done that, but I haven’t been to Egypt. That’s on my bucket list.”
The singer joked that when he does finally make it to Egypt, he’ll have to convince himself that he’s not on the Las Vegas Strip looking at a casino and that he’s looking at the actual pyramids.
