Luke Combs On Post Malone: ‘He’s So Nice’
Luke Combs talked with CMT this week and confirmed what everyone suspected: Post Malone is a fun-loving, sweet guy. It actually shows when you watch him perform by how excited and happy he is.
Luke told CMT about his new duet buddy, “He’s so nice. He’s just an unbelievable guy. You can’t help but be happy around him, to be honest. He’s just in such a great mood all the time, at least when I’m around him. I’m sure he has his moments like everybody else. But, he’s just welcoming to anyone and everyone.”
Combs said writing songs with Malone is different. He offered, “Those songwriting sessions can be really, really fun, but I think sometimes here in Nashville, we can be so structured and rigid, like, ‘We’re writing at eleven o’clock, and we’re leaving by this time.’ It becomes this nine-to-five kind of job sometimes.”
Not with Posty. Luke explained that with Malone, they were starting at eight PM “at night,” and then a lot of times “I’d leave at three or four in the morning.” He said at the end of the night, they had written four or five songs, and “we did that five or six times at least.”
Combs has two duets with Malone on his new country album, out on August 16th.

Combs was playing to a sold-out stadium full of country music fans in New Jersey at MetLife Stadium a few weeks ago (7/19) when he shocked the crowd by bringing members of the cast of the hit movie Twisters cast on stage to “shotgun” a beer with them.
The actors taking the stage were the movie’s stars Glen Powell, Daisy Edgar-Jones, and Anthony Ramos.
Combs posted a video clip of the moment on his Instagram. he captioned the post, “Hey Twisters cast, what you say we shotgun one?!”
Fans were beside themselves self, commenting on the post. One fan wrote, “Shotgunning with Glen Powell is now on my bucket list, thanks Luke.” Another fan said, “Did both nights! Freaking awesome shows both nights!” One more fan commented, “Great show glad to be in the building this night.”
Combs’s new song from the 2024 Twisters movie came out in May. “Ain’t No Love In Oklahoma” from Twisters: The Album is his latest single on country radio.
The new single was released alongside an official music video, which shows Luke in action battling the fate of twisters in his path as he drives shotgun in a big pick-up truck to evade the storms.
