Thankfully the City of St. Petersburg’s Bay Vista Recreation Center is hosting a school supply drive. Their goal is to help students entering Kindergarten through 8th grade get ready for this upcoming school year.
On August 10th from 1pm-4pm, the Bay Vista Recreation Center is hosting a Backpack Giveaway event. In addition to receiving supplies, families can enjoy bounce houses, music, and free food. What a fun way to kick off the school year! To be eligible to receive school supplies, families must simply register online before August 1. But unfortunately, as of July 22nd, the registration list is full. You can sign up for the waitlist, which is only at 16 people.
If you would like to help with this event, the recreation center is accepting new item donations from now until July 31, Monday-Thursday 8am-8pm.
