Kane Brown Used To Hate To Do This
Kane Brown did what he used to hate to do last night (5/16) on the ACM Awards: perform.
Before he headed into the show and performed his version of the Ray Charles classic, “Georgia,” he stopped to chat on the ACM Red Carpet.
Kane said, “I love performing. I used to hate it, so it’s grown on me a lot.” He added of what he loves most now about performing, “I think I just love being on stage in front of my fans that pay money to come and see me. It’s where I feel the most energetic. Do you know what I mean? It’s so fun to be on stage.”
Brown said that his ACM performance would be a moody song, “just me singing.”
After his Georgia performance, the singer talked about how nervous he was to just stand there and sing when he usually moves quickly around the stage with an upbeat tune.

Kane recently talked to British newspaper The Standard about his show, his kids, and having a son on the way. He said, “I’m excited. I thought I was going to be a girl dad, and I was happy for it, but knowing I’ve got my little boy was like it was God’s plan because we weren’t trying, but he was like, ‘Nah, you needed a son.'”
Brown also shared his daughter’s reaction to getting a little brother. He noted that he doesn’t think “they know what it means to have a brother yet.” Kane revealed that the girls know that there’s a baby in there, and his oldest, Kingsley, “gives hugs,” then she kisses Kate’s stomach and says, “Bye baby, I love you.”
The country star has been working on new music for a while now, but he says he’s not in a rush to release a new album. He teased that the new album would have as many as four collaborations.
Kane said in a recent interview, “There’s one that I have that’s coming up soon. I’ve been waiting for a certain artist to jump on it, and I got a FaceTime two days ago from them.” He added that the artist, who he would not name, is “in the studio.”
Brown also said that he has recorded many songs and he’s trying to “get it right” and “get it ready.”
Kane said that he “texted another person” that morning and that they were going to “hop on a song.” Adding that he is “excited” about the new music, the superstar said that he’s got “some fire coming.”
