Carrie Underwood Loves Beyonce In Country Music
Carrie Underwood loves Beyonce, who is making a splash in country music with her new album, Cowboy Carter. Carrie talked with Yahoo recently and said the genre has been broadening its fanbase.
Something For Everyone
Carrie told Yahoo!, “There really is something for everybody now. One of the great things about country music, and this is true for music in general, is that every genre has really just broadened itself. If you like things that are more traditional, you can find those.” She added, “If you like things that seem more pop, you can find that. If you like things that can cross over into other genres, you can find something that you love.” She said that it’s “all part of the same family,” and she will “always welcome that.”

Underwood also said that she loves people like Post Malone, Beyoncé, and Jelly Roll, who are “artists first and foremost.” She noted that they kind of “weave in and out of different genres of music,” and she thinks that’s “really cool.” In fact, Underwood recently played concerts opening for a non-country act — Guns ‘N Roses — and covered a few rock songs at those shows.

American Idol
In the same interview, Carrie said that she actually watches American Idol when she can; it’s the show that made her a household name in 2005, when she won. She said, “I try to keep up as best I can.” She noted that she thinks “it’s all great,” adding that at the end of the day, it’s “giving people a shot at their dreams.”

Pinching Pennies
Underwood posted to her 13 million followers on Instagram Stories recently that even though she is pretty darn rich, she does pinch pennies and save money when she can.
In a series of posts on Insta Stories, Carrie shared her new chocolate-making process because buying truffles is “so expensive.”
Chocolate
In the first slide, Underwood posted a photo of chocolates she made. She wrote, “The TruFru addiction has gotten out of control at our house. It’s so expensive! So, I started making my own…” In the photo corner, she wrote, “Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate.”
In a second slide, she posted a photo of dark-covered chocolate blueberries. She captioned it, “I call it FibFru – Chocolate over everything.”
Making Her Own Yogurt
In the final slide, she posted a photo of a pitcher and wrote, “Also started making my own yogurt, and I will NEVER go back to store-bought!!!”
