Gwen Stefani: Blake Shelton’s Impressive Valentine
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Valentine’s Day (2/14) to perform their new duet “Purple Rises.” Before they performed, Gwen sat on Jimmy’s couch to chat.
Stefani revealed that Blake gave her her Valentine’s present early. She tapped on a massive diamond ring on her finger with a big blue stone in the middle as the studio audience cheered.
Kimmel asked, “Does he pick that out, or does he have some friends that help?” Gwen replied, “He really mixed it up, like usually he just a gives me flowers, which I love, love love, but this was, ‘Here you go,’ and I was like, ‘What?’ Yeah, he did the whole thing.”
She shouted, “I love you, Blakey.”
Jimmy then recalled to Stefani that he helped her pick out a birthday gift for Shelton last year. She said, “Yeah,” and added that the flame thrower was “very popular,” and the couple got a lot out of it. She said that Shelton was “so inspired” by the gift that at Christmas, he got both of his brothers-in-law barbecue flame throwers.

Kimmel then shot to the Hollywoodland gift shop next door to the TV studio, and Blake was there shopping for a “last-minute Valentine.” Gwen screamed, and Blake said he wanted to get Gwen something while he was there and asked if she could see the stuff. He then showed her a mug he was getting that read, “California was expensive. I could only afford half a cup.”
Sheton had a basket full of fun things, including an Oscar trophy at read: “World’s Greatest Musician.” He joked he actually got it for himself. He also showed a California license plate that read Greg, saying he could change the “r” to a “w” and the “g” to an “n,” and it would be like he made something for her.
