Carly Pearce’s Epic GRAMMY Selfie With Oscar Icon
Carly Pearce was at the GRAMMY Awards last night (2/4) in Los Angeles. She was nominated for Best Country Duo/Group for her duet “We Don’t Fight Anymore” with Chris Stapleton.
While in the very famous crowd, Carly spotted Oscar icon Meryl Streep. She mustered up the courage to get a selfie during a commercial break.
Pearce posted the impressive photo to her Instagram. “I drank enough wine to walk over to my absolute favorite actress & she made my whole #GRAMMYs weekend.”
Many fans and friends commented on the prized photo, including Lady A’s Hilary Scott. Scott said she would like the photo a million times if she could. One fan wrote, “She is a treasure for sure. You are awesome, Carly.” One more fan reacted, “She is a legend!! Good for you @carlypearce.”

Pearce’s latest video for her duet with Chris Stapleton, “We Don’t Fight Anymore,” enlists actors Lucy Hale – a longtime friend of Carly – and Shiloh Fernandez. The two actors visually bring her single to life. The video follows the journey of a couple whose emotional disconnect has left them numb. They are unable to even engage in conflict.
Pearce said of bringing “We Don’t Fight Anymore” to life on-screen: “Having talents like Lucy and Shiloh were truly such a gift. The ‘space’ you feel between the two of them is felt so tragically at every moment of this video.”
She said in a statement when the song was released, “I’ve always wanted to write music that makes people feel something – whether that is feeling seen, less alone, happy, or even uncomfortable. ‘We Don’t Fight Anymore’ felt like I was writing one of those stories that, whether or not we want to include it in our social media highlight reel, we’ve either been there or are living there right now.”
She added, “Having Chris Stapleton join me on this song was a dream come true, and he unlocked an element to the story that I didn’t even know it needed.”

TJ also looked dapper, wearing an all-black suit with a satin back shirt and gold chains.
