Tim McGraw Gushes On His Youngest Daughter’s Singing

Tim McGraw is back on his Instagram, showcasing the musical talent of one of his daughters. This time, he shared a video clip of his daughter Audrey at the piano and singing a Tammy Wynette classic. He wrote over the clip, “Wow, our girl Audrey crushes this one.”

In the video clip, McGraw reacts in real-time to her performance of Wynette’s “Stand By Your Man,” and as she sings, his smile gets bigger and bigger. After the song ends, he tells the camera, “Whew, our baby girl Audrey, she’s so talented. Man, I’ve said it a hundred times: all my girls are so talented. They all sing great. Audrey, she is so special. She’s such an incredible writer as well. I mean, we get to hear this whenever she’s home; she’ll sit on the piano, and we can hear this all through the house. We can hear the stuff that she’s writing, and I’m telling you, her voice and the things that she writes are just so mind-blowing and so deep. She’s a true artist; she’s got a true artist’s soul.”

He continued, “And we’re lucky enough that we get to hear this when she’s at home, and she sits around and plays the piano, Faith, and I will just sit there and just listen. She doesn’t know we’re listening half the time, and sometimes we have to sneak around and watch her so she doesn’t see us because she’ll stop sometimes. My goodness, I’m proud.”

Tim captioned the post, “We love it when @audreymcgraw comes home and sits at the piano…. She’s a true artist, and we love the things she writes! #prouddad.”

Fun Fact: Before she passed away in the late 1990s, Wynette gave then-newcomer Faith Hill a baby shower for her and McGraw’s firstborn daughter, Gracie.

McGraw and Faith Hill’s three daughters, Gracie and Audrey, live in New York City and are pursuing acting and musical careers. All three of his daughters, including Maggie, showed off their singing talent when they came home for Christmas break, and the proud dad shared a video of the trio performing.

In the video clip McGraw shared, the three sisters sing a song from the Broadway play Hamilton in the living room, complete with mics on mic stands. Tim captioned the post, “A little bit of the McGraw girl’s craziness over the holidays! #hamilton.”

  • "I Need You"

    Released in 2007, this song topped the country chart. In the music video, which premiered on CMT in June 2007, the couple sit in a room of an old house on chairs facing each other and singing into each other’s eyes. The room is filled with lighted candles. The couple often sang the song in concert in chairs, looking at and singing to each other. It was a concert favorite, and photos of the couple on chairs looking at each other graced many a Tim and Faith concert t-shirt.

  • "Meanwhile, Back At Mamas"

    Released in 2014, this song was Tim and Faith’s first duet in seven years. It was featured on McGraw’s album Sundown Heaven Town. The video was shot at Tim and Faith’s farm in Nashville, and performance shots from their 2014 ACM performance were also used in the video. In one tender moment in the video, as Tim sings on the front porch of their home, Faith rests her chin on his shoulder.

  • "The Rest Of Our Life"

    The song is the title track of McGraw and Hill’s 2017 duets album The Rest of Our Life. Faith said the song reminded her of the day she and Tim McGraw decided to marry after meeting on McGraw’s “Spontaneous Combustion” tour in 1996. The music video starts with the couple dressed for an award show in a limo, stopping and getting out during an argument. The fight continues as they drive off and get back out in the rain, and Faith leaves. They reunite later in a bar and make up.

  • "It's Your Love"

    Their first and biggest duet was released in 1997 and topped the country chart; they were the only married couple to chart a number one song together on country radio until Kane Brown and his wife Katelyn topped the charts in 2022 with “Thank God.” The music video for “It’s Your Love” premiered on CMT on May 14, 1997, when CMT named it a “Hot Shot”. When it was filmed, Hill was pregnant with the couple’s oldest daughter, Gracie Katherine.

Nancy Brooks has been working in the country music industry for almost 30 years. She has interviewed pretty much any country star you can think of. In the late 1990s, she started working with Dolly Parton. And yes, Nancy reports that Parton is as sweet as you would think. She loves her life in country music and has been backstage at every CMA Awards show since the late 1990s. Many of her stories are from her one-on-one interviews. She was there at the beginning of the incredible careers of many music superstars today, including Taylor Swift, Shania Twain, and Blake Shelton, and has interviewed them multiple times throughout the years.
