Dustin Lynch Hires Comedian To Roast Luke Bryan
When Luke Bryan introduced his buddy Dustin Lynch to perform at the 2023 “Crash My Playa” weekend last year, some felt he went too far. Some fans and people in the crowd said Bryan went overboard and that some of his jokes were “uncalled for.” Bryan said in the much-talked-about introduction, “No one has drank more liquor. No one has vomited more. No one has taken more drugs. And no one has taken more IVs. No one has passed more STD tests than this next gentleman.”
A year later, at last week’s “Crash My Playa,” Dustin got Luke back in a big way by hiring comedian Jeffrey Ross to roast Bryan and do the intro for him.

Lynch said from the stage after Luke joined him, saying, “I don’t deserve this,” “I have hired the best roaster of all time to roast you in front of all of these people.”
The roasting intro by Ross went like this:
“I hope you don’t mind me crashing the play. It’s an honor to introduce who I like to call the other country singer on TV who wasn’t hot enough to marry Gwen Stefani. He’s got a new single out called ‘Southern and Slow.’ Congrats, Luke, for finally writing something autobiographical.”
Ross asked the crowd, “Do you ever wonder what a Mexican music festival hosted by Beavis and Butthead would look like? Here it is. Please welcome the number 108 on Rolling Stone’s top 100 country singers of all time. Make it loud in the house for the legend himself, Luke Bryan!”
Dustin posted the intro to his Instagram. The video was captioned, “We were promised an epic introduction for @lukebryan’s first night at #CrashMyPlaya and @dustinlynchmusic delivered!! Check out their reaction to this roast from the one and only @therealjeffreyross.”
Many fans reacted to the post and video clip, including one who wrote, “@therealjeffreyross is the GOAT!” Another fan commented, ‘That is awesome, too funny.” One more fan said, “This was epic.”
