Carrie Underwood’s Son Spends His Birthday On The Ice
Carrie Underwood posted a photo of another amazing birthday cake as her son Jacob celebrated his 5th birthday yesterday (1/21). On Instagram, the proud mom posted a photo of a big panda cake with the panda holding a basketball with a five on it. The belly of the pana has JP on it.
The post also includes several video clips of Jake playing hockey on a Nashville pond doing what his father, pro hockey payer (former Nashville Predator) Mike Fisher, does best. You can hear Carrie laugh as her son shoots and scores on the ice. In another clip, Underwood asks, “Jakey, did you have a good birthday? Did you have fun?” He turns to the camera and says, “Yes.”
She captioned the post, “A special birthday for a special 5-year-old!!! Our pond was frozen over in perfect condition for a night skate! What a treat!!! Happy birthday, Jake! I know you wouldn’t have wanted it any other way! #blessed #hockey #12 #HappyBirthday #DudePerfect.”
Many fans reacted to the post, including one who wrote, “Adorable.” Another fan commented, “Love that he’s wearing dad’s jersey.” One more fan said, “Kids got skills!! Welcome to the madness of hockey parenting. Happy birthday to your boy.”

Underwood and her family have been enjoying the Nashville snow (eight inches in two days, then iced over since), and she has made the most of her and her sons and husband being snowed in near their Nashville home where stores and businesses have been closed because of the rare southern snowstorm. As she often does, she posted photos of her baking creations on her Insta Stories.
Underwood also posted a rare but from-behind photo of her son Jacob, who is looking out the family’s window at the snow-covered ground.
In the first Insta Stories slide, she posted a photo of an uncooked cinnamon bread creation. She wrote over the image of the impressive pastry, “A cinnamon snowflake for this snowy day!”
The second slide shows it baked, and she wrote, “Finished flake! #SourdoughBaking.”
The final slide shows three things she baked, including the half-eaten snowflake. She wrote, “Who do I think is gonna eat all this?”
