Tesla Cybertruck Spotting In Tampa
The Tesla Cybertruck has been a polarizing topic since its unveiling. Some think it’s the next coolest thing and others are left picturing what your 4 year old niece doodles in art class. Whatever your opinions might be, there’s been a Tesla Cybertruck spotting in Tampa in Tampa International Plaza.
Whether you’re a fan of electric vehicles or not, you’ve most likely heard of the Tesla Cybertruck. When the truck was first announced in 2019, it turned heads for many reasons. Some people love the thought of the 2.9 second 0-60 while others drooled over the design. Maybe you just love electric vehicles. Whatever it is, we’re going to break down our Cybertruck spotting.
What does the Cybertruck look like in person?
By this point, you’ve probably seen all the memes and jokes about the truck. Its odd shape and design make it stick out like a sore thumb. It has a large, very slanted windshield with a single wiper. The back is nearly as angled as the front and meets at the top to form a triangle shape. The wheels look like Lego piece 74214c01.
To be fair, the truck looks better in person than the images online. The rolled steel, silver exterior gives it a unique look and it features a single headlight that spans across the front end. The tires and suspension show off the truck’s rugged side, but can an electric truck really be considered rugged? That’s for you to decide.
What’s the difference between the Cybertruck and other Pick-ups?
For starters, Tesla’s Cybertruck is labeled as shatter resistant. According to their website, the armor glass can take the impact of a baseball at 70 mph and class 4 hail. Not only is the glass shatter resistant, but it’s acoustic glass. Meaning, while inside the truck, it is nearly as quiet as “outer space”.
The truck features an 11,000 pounds of towing capacity, 340 estimated mile range per charge, and goes 0-60 in 2.6 seconds. We’re not sure how long it can tow 11,000 lbs, but chances are the Cybertruck clientele won’t be using it much for hauling.
The Cybertruck is expected to hit the market at $60,990 for the cheapest model. The AWD (all wheel drive) version is estimated to be around $79,990 with the most expensive model costing around $99,990. The most expensive models are expected to hit the floor first in 2024 with the cheaper models rolling out in 2025.
