Luke Bryan, Peyton Manning Working on Country Music Doc Series
Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning will host the 2023 CMA Awards on Wednesday (11/8). But their work will continue next year when Bryan will host a Hulu documentary series on country music called It’s All Country, which Manning is producing.
Luke told us about when his friend asked him to be a part of it. He said, “It’s kind of funny. Peyton called me about this probably a year and a half ago, and I was like, ‘Peyton, I’m probably not going to be able to say no to you ’cause I don’t know how I can tell you no on something like this.’ That makes me want to put him in a headlock, you know? But I said, ‘You’ve got to give me a little time because the last two years have definitely been the busiest years of my life.’ And so Peyton was like, ‘Yeah, let’s take our time and plan this thing up properly.’
Bryan continued, “So, now, in January, we’ll start taping. It’s just gonna be a celebration of country music. Peyton has been really successful with ‘Peyton’s Places’ and what he and Eli do, and the Omaha Productions brand is obviously very successful. Peyton and his whole family are really lovers of country music, and what Peyton and I want to do is create a series that tells all the stories of country music.”

Luke recently told us how he felt about the duo’s hosting performance in 2022. He said, “I thought we did a great job together. No pun intended, I think he is a crazy pro preparer.”
Bryan continued, “He knows his brand; I know my brand. He’s a little dryer humor, and I’m a little more slapstick, I guess. When we wrapped after the show, all the producers and everybody was raving, and the rating was good, and the show was great.”
Luke also told us what he got from last year’s performance, “I think we’ve got to take what we learned from last year and build upon it. I knew we did a good job when they were trying to lock me and Peyton down that night for the following year. It was a great night, and we were excited about it. So, it’s gonna be another great night.”
The 57th Annual CMA Awards will be handed out Wednesday (11/8), live on ABC.
