Florida Aquarium Named A Best In America
Sea creatures are certainly getting a lot of attention for visiting you at beaches this summer. However, there are also plenty of great places for you to visit them as well. Pure Wow has recently published a report identifying the best aquariums in the country, and an aquarium in Florida was named.
“Interesting underwater creatures, helpful guides, and interactive exhibits mean that everyone will learn something—and have a blast, too.” Pure Wow says about these locations.
The aquarium in Florida that ranked as one of the best in the country also works to preserve healthy waters. This includes conservation efforts in-house that create a healthy habitat for the sea creatures they showcase.
This aquarium, among the best in America, is a popular tourist attraction. One of its most popular features is its 75-minute dolphin cruise.
The Florida Aquarium – Tampa
Many animals that call the Sunshine State their natural habitat are showcased at Florida Aquarium. Then, with their wide range of exhibits, they add in exotic creatures from all over the world. “From mysterious sand tiger sharks and playful otters, to tiny seahorses and inquisitive sea turtles, you’ll never know what you’ll discover when you visit the wide variety of animal species at The Florida Aquarium,” they explain.
Their wetlands trail area allows you to see alligators roaming the mangroves, and wild birds. The Waves of Wonder is where you can come across a Pacific octopus. Furthermore, with 500,000 gallons of water, the aquarium’s coral reef is the largest habitat onsite.
Field trips, camps, and virtual learning programs are available at Tampa’s Florida Aquarium.
The Sea Turtle conservation is one of the organization’s largest initiatives. Their rehab center opened in 2019, and they have successfully treated 221 sick or injured sea turtles.
“The Florida Aquarium is actively engaged in stewardship of the natural environment as a conservation-based attraction with mission programs that include conservation, research, education and outreach,” they state.
