Little Big Town: Game Show Contestant Fails Miserably on Band Question
Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild shared a clip of TV’s Missing Link where she and her husband and bandmate Jimi Westbrook were one of the clues. Sadly, one contestant got a question about Karen and Jimi all wrong.
The question was: “Married in 2005, Karen Fairchild and Jimi Westbrook belong to what Grammy-winning country music group?” The contestant, who obviously doesn’t know his country music, replied, “The Judds.” Karen posted the short clip to her Insta stories and, right after, posted a poem about humility.
This is not the first time a question about Little Big Town was asked on a game show. In 2014, the question was asked, “In ‘Boondocks, ‘ Little Big Town sings, ‘You get a line, I’ll get a pole, we’ll go fishing in this type of hole?” The contestant also got that answer wrong at the time, saying, “ice fishing” hole. The answer is “crawfish” hole.
The lyrics of the 2005 hit for LBT “Boondocks” are in part: “You get a line, I’ll get a pole / We’ll go fishing in the crawfish hole / Five-card poker on a Saturday night / Church on Sunday morning.”
Little Big Town spent most of the summer on the road with Miranda Lambert. They release their new album Mr. Sun on September 16, 2022. The band recently debuted the brand new song “Better Love.” The track’s release coincides with the launch of the digital pre-order for Mr. Sun. Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild and Jimi Westbrook wrote the track alongside Tofer Brown and Audra Mae. Jimi said, “The attitude of this song is mischievous and lands squarely in Karen’s wheelhouse. It’s fun to sing, too.”
The chorus of “Better Love” includes the lyrics, “So, your heart bit the dust / And so, what / It is what it is / And it ain’t what it wasn’t / Oh, well / What the hell / Bad luck this time / Better love next time.”
