The Late Charlie Daniels Duets Album Features Dolly Parton, Keith Urban
Charlie Daniels recorded a bunch of duets before his death in July of 2020 and now they are being released as a special duets album.
According to The Tennessean, Daniels’ 19-song “Duets” album features the late Country Music Hall of Famer performing with Dolly Parton, Darius Rucker, Brenda Lee, Vince Gill, the Del McCoury Band, Brad Paisley, and others.
The release includes Garth Brooks singing harmony on Daniels’ song “Waco,” and Brooks & Dunn performing on Charlie Daniels Band staple “Long Haired Country Boy.”
“Duets” debuts July 16 in stores and at walmart.com via Blue Hat Records.
Charlie died nearly a year ago, but his music lives on this August when the Volunteer Jam — a one-night all-star country and Southern rock show he co-founded in the 1970s — returns to Bridgestone Arena.
The show plays August 18 in downtown Nashville, with guests including Alabama, The Marshall Tucker Band, CeCe Winans, Trace Adkins, Cedric Burnside, and more.
