Eric Church, Tanya Tucker Lead Country Grammy Nominees
This morning, the Grammys announced all of their nominees. Sadly, country wasn’t well-represented in the “big four” categories (Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Record of the Year and Best New Artist), there were some nominations in those categories. Tanya Tucker’s “Bring My Flowers Now” is up for Song of the Year and Lil Nas X’s collaboration with Billy Ray Cyrus, “Old Town Road” is up for Record Of The Year. Meanwhile, Dolly Parton is nominated for Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song for her collaboration with For King And Country on “God Only Knows.”
She’s also nominated for “Girl In The Movies,” which she co-wrote with Linda Perry for Dumplin’, and she’s up against against Chris Stapleton’s “The Ballad of the Lonesome Cowboy” from Toy Story 4 (written by Randy Newman) for Best Song Written For Visual Media.
