Miranda Lambert ‘Thank the Lord I Am A Writer’
Anyone who knows Miranda Lambert knows she’s a tough girl who doesn’t take crap from anyone.
So, with all the talk about her surprise new husband Brendan McLoughlin, if she feels any pressure or stress it’s more than likely going come out in song.
It’s songs that she took to writing after her much-publicized divorce from Blake Shelton in 2015. “2015 pushed me into a writing mode I’ve never been in before,” Miranda told Hits Daily Double at the time. “It’s very humbling to be hurt, and I have to be honest. My intention was to use it as therapy, to figure this s–t out. I was going through a divorce very publicly, and thank the Lord I am a writer.”
From that pain came her double album The Weight of These Wings, “It was going to be hell, and I’d already been through hell. It was hell putting it on paper, putting my words on paper. So I didn’t want to rehash,” she said “I’d finally gotten to a place where I wasn’t sad anymore. All the sad moments were there, all the truths were right in those songs. All you had to do was listen. I didn’t need to say anything.”
And she didn’t until the music was released. Although she didn’t speak to the press to promote the album, it was a success winning Album of the Year at the Academy of Country Music in 2016.
While she’s high on the chat list right now as publications like E! Online chronicles each of her relationships from Blake Shelton to her new husband, no doubt some great music will arise with the tales of love and happiness with her new man by her side.
